Signing a Memorandum of Further Cooperation of the Bila Tserkva Center and the NORLAU Probation Project

On February 2, 2021, the Norwegian representatives of the NORLAU Probation Project "Support to Judicial Reform in Ukraine Through a Full-Scale Introduction of the Probation Service in Ukraine" visited the Bila Tserkva Penitentiary Staff Training Center of the Ukraine State Penitentiary Service.

The main purpose of the visit was to sign a Memorandum of Further Cooperation of the Bila Tserkva Center and the NORLAU Probation Project, which in turn should formalize the principles of cooperation and joint actions of its participants.
The delegation included: Project Manager Siri Fjortoft, international expert Geyer Jensen and national experts Artem Babak, Yurii Lutsenko and Maryna Yakubovych.

During the visit, the delegation inspected the future Educational Unit, where it is planned to hold joint events (working group meetings, conferences, round tables, etc.) and trainings with national and international experts, engaged in the NORLAU Probation Project. In the future, the Educational Unit will also be used for effective and high-quality training of national penitentiary and probation staff.

Following the meeting, the parties discussed the algorithm for further cooperation and improvement of experience, already gained in the field of implementation of modern and effective methods for training of penitentiary and probation staff.
